Welcome to Caerphilly Ladies' Choir. We are a choir of more than fifty members, practising between 7.30pm and 9.15pm every Tuesday (during school term time) in the junior school lower hall, at Twyn Primary School in Caerphilly.

The Big Cheese 2009

At Caerphilly Castle's Great Hall on Saturday July 25th. hundreds of visitors were entertained by local choirs. Caerphilly Ladies Choir performed a varied programme, including Welsh songs ,hymns,songs from shows and other popular pieces to a large audience of visitors to the Big Cheese .Sally.Roper, Assistant Music Director also played a solo on the treble recorder. The applause from the audience was so enthusiastic,meant the choir sang encores.

On Wednesday, July 1st. '09 Caerphilly Ladies Choir held its Annual Concert at Wesley Church, Caerphilly. As the choir had given a concert at Wesley only six months ago,the forty three choristers performed a vastly different programme. Some of these pieces such as Tears in Heaven, Unchained Melody ,The Way We Were , Lausanne and Can You Hear Me? were performed for the first time.

Shrewsbury and Caerphilly join together for children

On Saturday Sept. 27th 08 Caerphilly Ladies choir joined forces with Shrewsbury Male Voice Choir to raise funds for Action for Children (formerly known as the National Children's Home). This charity concert, held at Wesley Methodist Church, Caerphilly was an excellent concert with a large audience.

Annual May Tour to Minehead

For the past twelve years the Caerphilly Ladies Choir has gone on an annual May tour. Usually the choir links up with a local choir to perform at a concert. This year was no exception. The choir travelled down to Minehead in Somerset for a long weekend.
